Break The Rules On Your Boxed Pancake Mix By Breaking An Egg

Ingredients: – Boxed pancake mix – Water or milk (as per package instructions) – Eggs (1 egg per 1 cup of pancake mix)

Prepare Pancake Mix: Follow the instructions on the boxed pancake mix to prepare the batter. Typically, this involves combining the pancake mix with water or milk in a mixing bowl until smooth. 

Add Eggs: Crack an egg into the pancake batter for every cup of pancake mix used. For example, if you're using 2 cups of pancake mix, add 2 eggs to the batter. 

Mix Thoroughly: Whisk the pancake batter and eggs together until the eggs are fully incorporated and the batter is smooth. Ensure there are no lumps remaining in the batter. 

Cook Pancakes: Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Pour the pancake batter onto the hot surface, using about 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface of the pancakes and the edges begin to look set, about 2-3 minutes. 

Flip and Cook: Carefully flip the pancakes with a spatula and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes on the other side, until golden brown and cooked through. 

Serve: Once cooked, transfer the pancakes to a plate and serve warm with your favorite toppings, such as maple syrup, fresh fruit, or whipped cream.
